Woodland garden.
I have finished a very serious tidy of the woodland garden and I must say it has never looked better. I have sent for some Trillium bulbs to plant. Cannot afford as many as I would like so I am hoping that they will spread very quickly. The under gardener is very fond to Turks head lilly so I have ordered some of them too. I was tempted to cut away the leaves from the Hellebore but the snow may be back so I think I will leave them a little longer.

You are so lucky to live in the UK, as I live in Germany now and we had 60 cm snow, and I am not able to do tidy up the garden because we haven't got rid of all the snow yet!
The hellebores though, are already trying to get into flower because the snow have protected them from the frost. Originally, I am from Holland, but I always loved the UK and their way of gardening. I also have lots of trilliums. Lovely plants. Re: Woodland garden.

Don't cut the leaves from the Hellebore! You can steal a little root from them and replant in plant containers. They propagate really well, especially in the cold. Trillium bulbs are pretty in the spring, but they don't last very long, so I don't know if they are worth planting. I can't wait for spring to get here so I can get out into the garden again!
