I did not get the things finished that I had hopped.  Never mind I know it will all still be there next week, at least all the pots are washed and put away!  We have friends who call this the Christmas cottage and to that end I have posted a picture on the opening page of the dining room all set for the holidays and quite living up to that name.  To anyone reading this blog may the under gardener and I wish you a very Happy Christmas and a wonderful gardening new year. 

Well it is all finished and I must say I am delighted with the result.  The hard frosts came after completion of the planting and the effect look good even at this time of year.  (see pictures under new projects)  The under gardener has been working on the garage, painting and putting up new guttering and now with Christmas just a stone's throw away I MUST get back to the final push to cut down all the remaining foliage in the terraced garden.  Getting leaves up at the moment is not possible as they are all frozen to the ground.  Not all bad then.
